The newest member of our family Phil Gerus is one of the most alternative artists to grace our little label.
Moscow based and classical trained, his love of the keys echoes so elegantly in his electronic music.
You can almost feel the greats seeping through his Have To Say Goodbye improvisation.
From his early adventures into the world of jazz to his studies of Chopin, Rachmaniov and Scriabin, its reflected, Gerus’ music is intelligent and unwavering in emotion.
In Have To Say Goodbye, he has incorporated the piano with heaps of granular synthesizing and the use of upbeat percussion in Tahiti Love, gives an enigmatic ambient 80s vibe.
DhARMA brothers Polpette have remixed Have To Say Goodbye, nurturing it into a climatic, cinematic, track, they have molded it into a piece that makes your heart beat that little bit faster, as if soothing wisps of elation are floating out as dawn approaches. The EP as a whole is not in the least flamboyant but an intricate wave of sentiments rolled into a neat little package.
Cover Art: Our little DhARMA angel Lou Madhu has created this beautiful cover art.
Mastering: King of the jungle Rob Small has graced us with his magical mastering touch once again on this EP.
Cheers to all our helpers who have assisted us in this release.
Hugs from Dibby, Ciara & David xxx
