about
With DhARMA 003 we welcome our Swedish friend Johan Bengtsson, aka Mitch Murder, to the family.
USERS be ready, you’re about to be hit by a wave of nostalgia.
Mitch Murder’s six-track electro-behemoth of an EP reignites the feel and atmosphere of the 1980's – pure bliss. If Sarah Connor and Snake Plissken fornicated whilst playing Streets of Rage, their love child would indeed be Mitch Murder.
His über-cool synth-pop tracks are bewildering at times, yet elegant and splendid. While listening to his music you can’t help but feel damn cool, it’s not just the retro synth sounds, Mitch Murders palate has so much more than that. He creates tender melodies that can define moments, both desolate and blissful, amid unwavering smoothness.
Sylvester transforms the prime track ‘Glass Cities’ into his own alluring soundscape. He paints erotic imagery of driving on a dark wet night, enclosed by neon lights…with a fluffy dice on the rear-view mirror.
